This is our team details
Klarina Hidayat is a psychology graduate and peer facilitator at REMISI. She started her journey as a peer facilitator with a simple belief: that our pain loses its grip on us little by little when we allow it to be seen in a safe space. After all, no one can truly heal through isolation. Through peer support and community-based programs, she hopes to help create spaces where people with mental health conditions feel seen, heard, understood, and empowered.
Living with Persistent Depressive Disorder since high school and attending therapy on and off over the years has shaped much of Klarina’s perspective on mental health. While the journey has not always been easy, it has taught her the value of compassion, connection, and finding people who are willing to sit with us in difficult moments. These experiences continue to inspire her commitment to mental health advocacy, psychosocial disability inclusion, and building communities where people can support one another without judgment.
Klarina is also passionate about intersectional feminism and is eager to deepen her understanding of disability rights and disability justice. This interest led her to join Meta Nadya 2026, a leadership training program organized by Himpunan Wanita Disabilitas Indonesia (HWDI). Previously, she has also worked with LBH APIK, Pamflet Generasi, and the Center on Child Protection and Wellbeing (PUSKAPA) at the University of Indonesia, where she contributed to initiatives related to gender equality, child protection, and social inclusion.
Outside of her work, Klarina finds joy in teaching, reading, and spending quiet afternoons wandering through public libraries, bookstores, or art galleries on her own. She enjoys taking random photos of trees, skies, and cats she meets along the way, and often ends the day writing in her diary. Looking ahead, she hopes to pursue a career either as an adult clinical psychologist or as a special education teacher——though, as a Libra, choosing just one dream has proven to be its own challenge!
