Insan Firdaus is a clinical psychologist in Indonesia. He is currently a PhD student at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He is investigating Heart Rate Variability (HRV) and the Brain Resting State Functional Connectivity (RSFC) in the context of stress, addiction and Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD).
Insan is a certified Cognitive and behavioral Therapist from the Cleveland Centre for Cognitive therapy and Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies (A-CBT) in 2015. His CBT experience and practice mainly grew through working with persons with psychosocial disabilities, especially persons with addiction. During his training, he also dealt with various persons with psychosocial disabilities. His CBT expertise brought him to found the first certification organization for CBT therapists: Cognitive Behavior Therapy Indonesia (CBTI), in 2020. With his knowledge and personal experiences, he is one of the prominent people who develop the peer support groups module in Remisi.
